Flag break
- Duty patrol ensure flag is ready to unfurl.

- Duty patrol leaders step forward to the flag
- They release the flag
- They step back 1 meter
- All salute the flag
- The return to their patrol / position

- Duty patrol leaders step forward to the flag
- Lower the flag (catch the flag and drap it over the quarter deck fence)
- Sing together the lyrics
- Day is done, gone the sun,
- From the sea, from the hills, from the sky;
- All is well, safely rest, God is nigh

Scouts
- Scouts form lines of their patrols, with PL at one end, and APL at other end.
Cubs
- Go south (to the other end of the hall, quiet and ready)
- Pack Pack Pack (The call to formation around the flag)
- Cubs quickly and quietly assemble in a semi circle around the flag, shoulder to shoulder.
- Variation: Cubs may practice leading the scout promise or demostrate a knot to be selected as the patrol leader of the day.
