Hawke Group Committee

Hawke has a very active Group Committee, often referred to as "the parents support committee". The duties of the committee are set out below (extracted from the Scouting NZ Rule Book).
All parents and leaders are welcome to attend the meetings which are monthly. (See Calendar)

The duties of the Group Committee are:
(i) In consultation with the Group Leader, to provide the Group with the necessary Adult Leaders.
(ii) To arrange a meeting place for the Unit, Troop, Pack and Club.
(iii) To control and administer the Group finances.
(iv) To provide and safeguard adequate equipment and property for training, ordinary Group activities and camping.
(v) In conjunction with the Adult Leaders of the Group, to assist with arrangements for Camps.
(vi) To assist the Adult Leaders by arranging technical instruction.
(vii) To make regular visits to the Sections of the Group.
(viii) To bring to notice, with evidence of eyewitnesses, any acts of gallantry performed by any member of the Group.
(ix) To recommend any member of the Group for service awards.
(x) To recommend to the District Commissioner, through the Group Leader, the suspension of any Adult Leader if considered unsatisfactory.
(xi) To hold regular meetings in addition to the Annual General Meeting subsequently covered in Rule 112 (i)
